Craig Hormes built Vanguard Property Intelligence to solve a problem he has seen firsthand for over two decades:
Decisions are only as good as the data behind them—and most property data is incomplete.
With more than 20 years in real estate valuation, Craig has worked every level of the process—from field appraiser to national vendor network leadership. He understands how property condition impacts value, how reports are reviewed, and where breakdowns occur when data is unclear or unreliable.
Throughout his career, he has built and managed multi-state appraiser networks, overseen quality control and regulatory compliance, and developed systems designed to produce consistent, credible results at scale.
But Vanguard is not built on theory—it is built on field experience.
Craig spent nearly two decades performing appraisals himself, developing a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to property inspection and documentation. That experience now drives how Vanguard collects data today—capturing the details that matter, in a way that makes it feel as though the client was on site.
In addition to his valuation background, Craig brings experience in insurance risk, disaster response, and operational leadership. As a Squadron Commander in the Civil Air Patrol, he leads real-world emergency response efforts—reinforcing a mindset built on preparation, precision, and execution under pressure.
Craig also holds credentials as an Accredited Appraisal Reviewer (AAR), Commissioned Notary Public, and Licensed Independent Insurance Adjuster, further strengthening his role as an objective, documentation-focused professional.
Vanguard Property Intelligence was built on that foundation:
Accurate data. Clear documentation. Reliable results.
Because when property data is right, decisions follow.
